KDT Rhenium Burglar Alarm

The KB-M2 panel manages up to 32 independent partitions and 192 zones and grows with expansion modules. It connects over several paths at once: Ethernet, Wi-Fi and a 4G module; over the mobile network, SMS and voice calls are also available for event reporting, and the panel can be managed remotely with a mobile app. It is powered from the mains or PoE, and an internal battery keeps it running during a power cut.

The alarm logic, sirens and outputs run entirely on the panel itself and do not depend on the internet. The panel's web interface is available on the local network, and critical events are logged in a separate area of memory that firmware updates do not erase. Every firmware release is signed with an ECDSA digital signature, and the panel checks the signature before installing it.

Rhenium wireless devices work with the panel over two-way FSK in the 868 MHz band, with a range of up to 800 m in open areas:

• Indoor motion detectors immune to pets up to 35 kg, a curtain detector and a dual-technology outdoor detector
• Door and window magnets, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and water leak sensor
• A wireless keypad with 128-bit AES encryption, a duress code and protection against code guessing, and a four-button remote control
• A wireless outdoor siren, a wireless relay and a wireless transmitter for connecting wired devices
• A network expansion box and the Smart Alarm Box, with wired inputs, PGM outputs and PoE power

The alarm panel integrates with the KDT touch panels and smart-home console over local MQTT: arming, disarming, the emergency button and partition status are available on the same panels throughout the building.
